Rich Text Editing with TinyMCE
The LION Report Tool includes TinyMCE, a powerful rich text editor that allows you to create beautifully formatted content for your journal entries and reports.
Formatting Options
The editor toolbar provides numerous formatting options:
- Text Styling: Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough
- Lists: Bulleted and numbered lists
- Alignment: Left, center, right, justify
- Headings: Multiple heading levels for organizing content
- Links: Insert hyperlinks to relevant resources
- Tables: Create structured data tables
Using the Editor
- When creating a journal entry or report, you'll see the TinyMCE editor loaded
- Use the toolbar buttons to format your text as desired
- The editor supports both dark and light modes, matching your system preferences
- You can paste content from other sources and the editor will attempt to preserve formatting
Important Notes
- Always update form fields from TinyMCE before submission
- For reports, use HTML tags like <h2>, <ul>, <li>, <p> for proper formatting
- Paste content from other sources using "Paste as text" to avoid formatting issues
- Use the built-in format cleaner to remove unwanted styling
